Mission Statement
The Central Coast Baby Ballet Program for Pre-School Children is a unique Program that provides enjoyable and ordered learning experiences in preparation for continued training in the areas of Ballet and Dance.
Central Coast Baby Ballet is dedicated to providing the highest quality Dance Education for Children (from 3 years of age). Overwhelming data shows that students who participate in the arts are more successful academically and socially as members of their communities.
Aims
• To encourage and guide participation in the program. The level of participation varies with different children over different time periods but with usual success.
• To develop a range of skills including self expression, self confidence and the ability to follow set tasks and directions, as a prerequisite for Pre-School and Kindergarten.
• To prepare for and engage in creative movement and dance, music appreciation, and social interaction.
• To introduce a variety of progressive, fun and stimulating activities and themes throughout the program.
• To encourage consistency in attendance and punctuality.
• To engage in quality teaching that provides individual learning. Initially, classes may consist of small numbers which will allow your child to develop skills on a one to one basis.
• To build leadership skills and confidence in larger class settings.
Please Note – Photography or videos are not permitted at Trial Classes.
Classes consist of up to 15 students of Pre School age. The weekly class runs for 45 minutes and classes follow goverment school term dates. We share the same term holidays and our classes begin and end at the same time in the year as the government schools.
Trial Classes are fun and relaxed and designed to give prospective students and parents an insight into our classes.

CLASSES
Baby Ballet (3 to 4 years)
Teachers: Kim Barker, Bianca Barker, Charlotte Barker and Marissa Barker.
The Central Coast Baby Ballet Program was designed by Kim Barker and developed to help young dancers prepare for formal ballet classes.
The Program encourages creativity, self-expression, and fundamental movement skills.
The exercises and fun activities are educational as well as providing consistency and structure.
The lessons are designed developmentally for 3 to 5 year old boys and girls.
The curriculum combines RAD syllabus with free exercises and class activities to develop creativity and the acquisition of ballet technique appropriate for the age and development of the dancer. Free movement also introduces classical ballet with a more relaxed approach and is a wonderful tool for developing creativity in children. Character and Free Movement methods are also great fun for the students.
Class Description:
In this introduction to the fundamentals of ballet, young children learn basic ballet steps while developing balance, coordination and confidence. They will explore the tremendous movement possibilities of their bodies--running, jumping, bending, stretching, exploring contrasting movement dynamics and qualities, doing their own movements and dancing with others-- while developing the skills needed for more formal ballet study. To keep the children's imaginations engaged and help develop English skills, many exercises use stories, songs and images. Let your child become a fairy, a dinosaur, a swan, or a butterfly, while learning basics of ballet!
Kinder Ballet (5 to 6 years) - Commencing 2011
